Getting Ready Like a Pro: 6 Wedding Morning Tips Every Bride Should Know
Your wedding morning sets the tone for the entire day—so why not make it smooth, stress-free, and filled with joy? After years of working with brides, we've learned what truly makes a difference behind the scenes. Here are our top tips to help you get ready like a pro and enjoy every moment leading up to “I do.”
1. Don’t Save Yourself for Last
While it might seem logical to go last for hair and makeup, we recommend the opposite. As your glam team, we use long-wearing, professional products designed to hold up all day—and all night! Finishing earlier allows time for touch-ups, getting dressed, and those must-have photos without feeling rushed.
2. Prepare a Details Box for Your Photographer
Before the day begins, set aside all your meaningful items—rings, invitation, shoes, perfume, jewelry, vow books, veil, and any sentimental keepsakes. Having everything gathered in one place ensures your photographer can start capturing those gorgeous flat-lay shots as soon as they arrive.
3. Appoint a Point of Contact Person
Assign someone (a bridesmaid, mom, or planner) to be your morning go-to. Whether it's answering vendor questions or finding that one missing earring, having a trusted person in charge keeps things running smoothly and lets you stay relaxed and present.
4. Don’t Steam Dresses After Hair & Makeup
Steam and humidity can quickly undo a fresh beauty look. If dresses need to be steamed on the morning of the wedding, be sure it’s done before hair and makeup—or by someone who hasn’t sat in our chair yet.
5. Open Gifts & Notes Before Makeup
Emotions run high on wedding day, and opening a heartfelt gift or love note can bring on those happy tears. If you know this moment will be emotional, schedule it before your makeup is done. Or if it happens after, just let us know—we’re always happy to do a touch-up.
6. Take It All In
This is your moment. Amid the excitement, pause to breathe, smile, and soak in the magic around you. The laughter, the love, the joy—it’s what you’ll remember most.
